Kim grew up in the small northwestern Ontario town of Keewatin, nestled between the shores of Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River. Surrounded by boreal forest and etched amidst the Canadian Shield, the rugged landscape and creatures it inhabits has inspired in her a life long passion for nature and the outdoors. Purchasing her first Nikromat camera at 15 years old Kim began her journey into the world of photography, indulging her creative spirit and recording images of all that she loves. Eager to nurture environmental awareness in others through the detailed beauty of nature, she is now making her work available to the public. Kim's work has been published in issues of Area News, Lake of the Woods Travel magazine, Kenora Stuff magazine, and CIAO Food magazine. The Kenora Hospitality Alliance and Tourism Kenora has printed numerous images of Kim's in annual calendars and along with the city of Kenora , continues to use her photos in numerous publications both online and in print. The Urban Trails and Path of the Paddle committees have printed and erected massive outdoor signs with her photos and she was commissioned as exclusive photographer for the LOWDSA Cottage show in Winnipeg. Local retailers have incorporated images into clothing and accessories. Various condo committees and local offices have purchased pictures on various medium for their lobbies and offices. Kim continues to sell her work nation wide and is recently featured in a gallery at the new Douglas Family Art Center in Kenora, Ontario.
